Council is working with the community to create a shared vision on a new project that aims to breathe new life and opportunities into the heart of the Hills District.
The Hills District is growing and changing, and Council wants you to help us plan for an exciting new community space that connects the vital greenery & sports clubs of Leslie Patrick Park with new and improved community facilities.
What will it be?
The short answer is - we don’t know yet! Your feedback will inform future design possibilities and outline a clear vision of what the precinct should offer to the community. There may be services such as a library, allied health and social support spaces, as well as purpose-built facilities to shoot some hoops, take the kids to play, walk the dog and charge your bike. We want to know what you want!
Share your ideas to shape the future of your community
Council is inviting you to participate in this early phase of the project to ensure a strong start in the development of this important community asset.
This is the start of a longer community conversation, with many more opportunities to have your say and input your ideas. Understanding what you value and would like to see in this area will help to inform what criteria we use to further design the area. There will be additional rounds of engagement when the concept design and master planning phases commence in late 2021 / early 2022.
Have your say
Council undertook engagement to understand what The Hills District community value and would like to see in this area between 12 February 2021 and 12 March 2021. The community’s collective thought will contribute to the development of a Functional Brief. Council would like to thank the community for their feedback.
There will be future rounds of engagement when the concept design and master planning phases commence in late 2021 / early 2022.
