The City of Moreton Bay supports a healthy and active lifestyle for residents by investing in safe, efficient, reliable and integrated transport networks.

The parklands and reserves running adjacent to the South Pine River provide opportunity for active travel to connect the local community with schools, shops and other facilities on the eastern side of South Pine Road in Albany Creek.

The project includes new pathways and pathway widening to provide a continuous 2.0-2.5m wide pathway from Faheys Road West to James Cash Court via Stanton Reserve, including street tree planting and lighting. The outcomes are expected to provide a safer, more attractive pathway network and encourage more active trips in the area.

Community feedback

Council asked for community feedback on the concept design in August 2021. Thank you to everyone who participated. Your feedback was considered in the development of the detailed design.
