We are enhancing Ambrose Tilney Park, Woodford
Council is upgrading Ambrose Tilney Park in Woodford, to meet the needs of the growing community.
Features of the park upgrade include:
- an extended playground
- a nature-inspired playspace featuring some adventure-style elements
- a new all-ages pump track
- new picnic shelters for relaxation and leisure
- amenities block
The enhancements build on what is already loved about the space to make it an even better place for local families to visit and play. This means the existing playground will be retained and expanded with additional equipment.
Community Consultation
Between 18 April and 16 May 2023, we invited community feedback on the draft improvement plan. Generally, community were very supportive of the planned enhancements and retention of existing park features.
You told us you liked the blend of elements making up the park making it a draw card for people of all-ages, specifically the new pump track and nature-inspired playground.
Some concerns were raised about management of antisocial behaviour, protection of the natural environment and maintaining grassed areas for kick around and picnics.
You can read more about what the community told us in the Community Engagement Summary Report.
