Draft concept design now available

Between 30 September and 28 October 2024, we invited community feedback on the skate park redesign and other ideas for the space.

Based on your feedback, we've developed a draft concept design for a new skate park precinct. Key features of the draft design include:

  • urban street style skate park
  • a new pump track
  • resurfacing of the halfcourt.

Next steps

Council will now consider your feedback alongside best practice design principles, site constraints, project budget, and market quotes to determine what can be designed and delivered in the future.

A draft Concept Design will be developed and shared with the community for feedback, before the project moves to detailed design and then construction.

About the project

The Bellara Skate Park is located at Bribie Island Youth Centre, Sunderland Drive, Bellara. This is the largest skate park on Bribie Island, with a second smaller park located at Woorim.

Past consultation

Overwhelmingly, upgrading the skate park is supported by the community.
