Council is preparing an Equine Network Mapping Report and Action Plan to identify and prioritise equestrian facility needs across the Moreton Bay region.

We understand the economic, social and health contributions the equine industry can deliver to our region and are seeking to further uncover the role the 16 already established equine facilities play. Community input is helping Council to map the use of each facility within the wider network of facilities throughout the region.

The report will include an action plan with evidence-based, prioritised recommendations for asset management, facility development, operational improvements and broader network priorities.

We invited equine clubs and other organisations that use our equine facilities to complete a survey between 29 August and 19 September 2022. Thank you to all those that provided valuable input.

We are currently analysing the results of this survey and will share a summary of the findings once they are finalised.
