Internet is part of our daily lives. Council is aware that some areas of our region may have better home connections than others and is seeking to understand how we can advocate for our communities.
We have been made aware of some areas where connections could be improved whilst others may not have contacted us.
We’d like to hear a little bit more from our communities on how you connect for personal use such as contacting families and friends, using it to access entertainment systems or using it to work from home.
Council is seeking your feedback on how you have experienced the internet through services such as Broadband including NBN, ADSL, ADSL2 and cable.
We are also keen to hear how you may experience mobile network (3G/4G/5G) coverage across the Moreton Bay Region.
You're probably wondering why we want to know this when we don’t provide these services? We know they are important for our communities and understand many may be reliant on these connections for work and to stay connected.
Knowing where our communities would like to have better coverage or where they currently experience issues will enable us to advocate for better connection.
Information received from our communities will be used by Council to advocate for better mobile and internet network coverage for the region.
