This is your chance to help shape improvements to Manordowns Drive Park.
A local community member suggested this park needed some play equipment, and we think that’s a great idea!
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of shaping play elements in this park that will provide for future generations in this growing community.
We know from Moreton Says survey insights that communities value parks and green space. Investing in public parks is a long-term strategy for City of Moreton Bay’s sustainable future. This investment will support a thriving City where people want to live, work and play. Great parks provide our communities with their unique identity and sense of pride. Proximity to well-designed and managed parks and green spaces can improve lifestyle, health, place character and biodiversity.
Between 27 October and 25 November we invited the community to help shape the design of this park by:
- dropping into our park pop-up between 8am - 11am Saturday 8 November 2025
- completing the playground user survey and voting activity via the links below
- providing your feedback via email, phone or mail.
Community insights
Thank you to everyone who provided their ideas. Generally, we heard:
- you love that the area is quiet, surrounded by nature and wildlife, and part of a strong family friendly community
- you prefer a more physical and risky/challenging play style
- play elements that can be enjoyed by all ages are important to you, so all children in the community can participate
- being respectful of wildlife that use the park and natural surroundings will help design a playground that suits the location
- you have some concerns about the safety of park users so close to a road.
Read the Community Engagement Summary Report for a full summary of what we heard during initial engagement.
Next steps
The input you provided will inform the concept design for the park and help create a design that meets the needs of the local community.
What you told us will be considered alongside community needs across our city-wide network of parks, best practice landscape design principles, site constraints, and funding, so we have the right plan in place for this park.
