We are engaging with user groups to update the Master Plan for South Pine Sports Complex (SPSC).

South Pine Sports Complex is a well-used major sports complex loved by many community, sport and recreation clubs and their members. Since a Master Plan for SPSC was developed in 2013 many of the actions in this plan have now been successfully delivered. So, it’s time to review the outcomes and develop a roadmap for the site for the next 5-15 years.

This is nan opportunity to review the 2013 Master Plan and continue refining and building on the work that has already been done. The updated Master Plan is intended to be implemented over time as funding and opportunities are available.

We want to hear from you as a representative of one of the clubs and organisations that call SPSC home to understand what is working well at the complex and what could be improved.

SPSC user groups

To better understand current and future needs, we are engaging with sporting clubs and community groups already using SPSC. We have engaged consultants Fourfold Studio to assist us with this work.

During April and May 2025, we invite your group to participate in:

1. Initial survey

A representative of each group can complete a brief survey. The survey response should be completed by one person as a consolidated response on behalf of the group. Please don’t distribute the survey to your members.

The survey is open 9 April to 30 April 2025.

The answers will give us some basic information about your group and how the site is currently used, before we meet with you to have a more detailed conversation.

Complete the initial survey below.

2. Face-to-face meeting with the project team

Please use the form below to nominate a time that suits you and up to two other representatives from your group to meet with Council to have a more detailed conversation about group's needs now and into the future.

These meetings will take place face-to-face between 7 May to 23 May 2025 and are expected to take 1 hour.

Once you have completed the initial survey and indicated availability, the team from Fourfold Studio will reach out with a proposed date and time to meet.

3. Collaborative workshop

At this 2-hour workshop, we will be bringing together representatives from sporting clubs and community groups already using SPSC. It will be an opportunity to develop a collaborative vision for the future of SPSC. The focus for the session will extend beyond the physical elements in the space, to exploring opportunities for events, programs and ways groups can work together.

This workshop will take place on 4 June 2025. Pencil it into your diary for this collaborative workshop and the project team will be in touch with more details.

Representing your group?

We encourage you, as the nominated representative/s of your user group, to talk to your committee members, participants, coaches and your other key stakeholders to understand their experience of SPSC so you can share the collective views of your group through this process.

Will the broader community have an opportunity to get involved?

Broad community consultation will be facilitated once a draft update of the Master Plan has been developed.

Sharing the project outcomes

We will share with project participants a summary of the engagement findings. We will also release the updated South Pine Sports Complex Master Plan when it is finalised late 2025.
