A district park for Wamuran
We are planning a new district park for Wamuran that will incorporate the Wamuran Sports Complex and H&J Walters Recreation Area.
We have developed a concept plan to transform this area and we want your ideas to help us finalise the design for Stage 1. Stage 1 focuses on upgrades to the H&J Walters Recreation Area.
Stage 1 is expected to include:
- a new internal access road and parking area
- a district level playground
- toilet block, picnic shelters and BBQ
- an exercise area
- open kickabout spaces.

How to have your say
We are seeking your input to help finalise the theming and features for Stage 1 of the park. Your feedback will inform the detailed design for Stage 1 which is outlined in red in the concept plan.
Please note, any features outside the red outline are not part of this Stage 1 consultation. They are in early planning and will be delivered as part of future project stages.

What happens next?
We expect to complete the detailed design for Stage 1 of the new district park in 2025. Construction dates for Stage 1 are still being finalised and will be subject to funding availability and other Council processes.
