Now the Bellara Foreshore masterplan has been finalised, we will continue planning for stage one construction work to begin in early 2024 (pending weather and other unforeseeable circumstances).

Ongoing meetings will be held with water sport clubs about designs for a new storage facility to meet community needs.

We are also continuing to plan for a community event space, including power and water provision.

We will provide more information on these projects as it becomes available.

Upgrades to the boat ramp, carpark, Crest Park and picnic area are expected to start in early 2024, pending weather and other unforeseeable circumstances. During this time there may be temporary changes to traffic and footpaths.

Council’s aim is to undertake potentially high impact works outside of normal business hours where possible and will work with businesses at the boat ramp to ensure operational impacts are minimal.

Upgrades to the watersports precinct, including facility upgrades for existing watersport clubs, road and car parking upgrades north-west of the existing boat ramp works. These works are expected to start mid-late 2024. During this time there may be temporary changes to car parking and footpaths adjacent to the park.

Upgrades to Pirate Park picnic area are also expected to start at the same time as watersport precinct works, including new consolidated picnic facilities and lighting / pathway upgrades. During this time there may be temporary changes to car parking and footpaths adjacent to the park.
