Draft concept plan out now!

We want to hear your feedback. See below to have your say by 4pm Wednesday 18 February 2026.

A new dirt jump track is coming to Dayboro!

Dirt jump tracks are a great way to get active and enjoy being outdoors. But when tracks are built without technical guidance or approval, they can unintentionally create safety risks, disturb local wildlife, and impact the experience of other park users and nearby residents.

We want to work with you to design tracks that are safe and fun for everyone.

In October 2025, we held a workshop with local dirt jump enthusiasts to develop a design for Dayboro’s new dirt jump track. Participants were guided by leading trail builder Trailworx to help create a well-designed track that is safe and fun for all users.

The resulting draft plan includes:

  • beginner-friendly “learn to jump” line with return track
  • intermediate and advanced jump line
  • variety of track features including:
    • rollers
    • tabletops
    • berms
    • transitions
    • step ups
  • sandstone block seating at the staging area
  • a water bubbler alongside the footpath
  • additional trees along the school boundary.

Now, we want your feedback on the draft concept plan.

What do you love about the draft concept plan? What do you think could be improved? Your feedback will help refine the plan ahead of construction.

Have your say by 4pm Wednesday 18 February.

Project background

In January 2024, users of Henry Bradley Park met with Divisional 11 Councillor and Parks and Recreation Planning staff to discuss the current BMX offering and unauthorised additions. You shared:

  • the existing offering was lacking for users of all ages and experience levels, restricted on space, and prone to flooding
  • a suggested asphalt pump track was not a suitable alternative for users with concerns over falling on an asphalt surface
  • dirt jumps were preferred for BMX and Mountain Bike skill progression
  • building, modifying and maintaining dirt jumps was part of the experience
  • the need for different zones for varying skill levels.

Following this feedback from the community, we identified a new location for a Dirt Jump Park in Bill Rowe Park next to Dayboro State School.

We know from Moreton Says surveys that our communities value parks and green spaces that accommodate all users. So, we want you to be part of the design, construction and maintenance of the new track.

Investing in public parks is a long-term strategy for City of Moreton Bay’s sustainable future. This investment will support a thriving city where people want to live, work and play.

User Design Workshop

We held a workshop with community dirt jump enthusiasts on 25 October 2025 to develop a draft design for Dayboro's new dirt jump track.

Participants were guided by leading trail builder Trailworx to help create a well-designed track that is safe and fun for all users.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this workshop. A draft design that captures what we heard during this workshop will be shared here soon for wider community feedback.

Here's a few photos from the workshop.
