We are recruiting community members for Moreton Says in Focus.
Moreton Says in Focus is a panel of community members who are open to being invited to sessions that delve more deeply into topics that have been raised in Moreton Says surveys.
These topics are important to our city, significantly affect our communities and are relevant to the work delivered by many areas of Council.
For example, in 2026 Moreton Says in Focus team members may be invited to be part of important conversations about planning for the growth and development of our city. These conversations will help inform potential changes to our planning scheme (the statutory document that guides how develop occurs across our city).
By being a member of Moreton Says in Focus, you can share your views on the work Council does. You will also meet other people from around City of Moreton Bay who feel passionately about the amazing place we live.
Moreton Says in Focus sessions are held as required to align with Council projects and research initiatives throughout the year.

How does Moreton Says in Focus work?
You complete an expression of interest form to be part of the team.
Membership is open to anyone over the age of 15 years who lives or works in City of Moreton Bay. If you are under the age of 18 years guardian consent will be required.
When a session is being planned, a mix of community characteristics relevant to the topic will be defined so diverse views are brought together. These will be a mix of demographic characteristics and personal interests.
From the panel of people who expressed interest, a diverse group that reflects a mix of the relevant characteristics will be invited to participate in the session. The invitation will include the date, time, venue and an outline of the topic being covered. The number of people invited will depend on the format the session is taking and the topic being explored. It may range from 15 to 100 people.
If you were invited to a session, you can accept or decline the invitation. Being part of Moreton Says in Focus is obligation free. If you can't make it to a session you are invited to that is OK just let us know with lots of notice so we can invite others along.
The session will be held. It will typically take about 2 hours but the length of a session may vary depending on the format it takes. The format may be a focus group, a workshop or another way that enables us to have great conversations that devel more deeply into key topics.
Results from the session will be deidentified to protect your personal information and analysed. Findings will then be shared on the Your Say Moreton Bay website (for public access) and with Council staff who are delivering work that will benefit from the information.
