Small group sessions

Over 4.5 weeks in June/July 2025, we invited expressions of interest for community sessions from everyone with a connection to the Narangba East Planning Area. This opportunity was promoted via social media, our website and direct email.

Given the number of people that responded, there are plenty of spots for everyone that wanted to be part of the process to participate - no selection process has been needed.

Everyone who expressed interest in the community sessions has now been contacted via email and/or phone to check their availability for sessions that will be held in mid-October 2025.

As at 3 October 2025, we’re pleased to have received availability details from nearly everyone who submitted an initial expression of interest. We’ll continue to follow up directly with the small number of EOI respondents that haven’t yet confirmed their availability to ensure they get the opportunity to participate should they still wish to.

We adjusted our engagement approach in response to feedback we heard through the community survey that was open from 17 July to 14 August 2025. We're now holding small group sessions instead of larger workshops so we can have focused and personal discussions with you about the Narangba East Planning Investigation.

Each session will give us the chance to:

  • explain what's happening with the investigation
  • discuss your views and aspirations
  • hear and respond to your questions (noting the investigations are still underway so we won't have all the answers)
  • explore how potential changes to planning in the area could unfold.

Our external consultant is now reviewing submissions and allocating participants to session times based on availability, time slot demand, and other information provided in the expressions of interest. On Tuesday 7 October 2025, we’ll be in touch with everyone who nominated their availability to confirm their session date and time.

We are looking forward to meeting with you.
