We are recruiting community members for Moreton Says in Focus.
When you join this team, you agree to be on the invitation list for sessions that delve more deeply into topics that have been raised in Moreton Says surveys.
These topics are important to our city, significantly affect our communities and are relevant to the work delivered by many areas of Council.
By being a member of our Moreton Says in Focus team, you can share your views on how Council supports those living in our city. You will also meet other people from around City of Moreton Bay who feel passionately about the amazing place we live.
Moreton Says in Focus sessions are held as required to align with Council projects and research initiatives throughout the year. As a member of the team you will be invited to relevant sessions and then be able to decide if you will attend based on your availability at the time.

The next session
The next session will be in February 2025.
It is being run in conjunction with our research partners at the University of Sunshine Coast.
It will focus on how we communicate important information to residents in City of Moreton Bay.
This session will be a focus group that will take about two hours including light refreshments.

To be eligible for the February 2025 session you will need to express your interest in being part of Moreton Says in Focus by Friday 13 December 2024.
How does Moreton Says in Focus work?
You complete an expression of interest form to be part of the team.
Membership is open to anyone over the age of 15 years who lives or works in City of Moreton Bay. If you are under the age of 18 years guardian consent will be required.
You can withdraw your participation from Moreton Says in Focus at any time.
When a session is being planned, a mix of community characteristics relevant to the topic will be defined so diverse views are brought together. These will be a mix of demographic characteristics and personal interests.
From the pool of people that have expressed interest, a diverse group that reflects a mix of the relevant characteristics will be invited to participate in the session. The invitation will include the date, time, venue and an outline of the topic being covered. The number of people invited will depend on the format the session is taking and the topic being explored. It may range from 15 to 100 people.
If you were invited to a session, you can accept or decline the invitation. Being part of Moreton Says in Focus is obligation free if you can't make it to a session you are invited to that is OK just let us know with lots of notice so we can invite others along.
The session will be held. It will typically take about 2 hours but the length of a session may vary depending on the format it takes. The format may be a focus group, a workshop or another way that enables us to have great conversations that devel more deeply into key topics.
Results from the session will be deidentified to protect your personal information and analysed. Findings will then be shared on the Your Say Moreton Bay website (for public access) and with Council staff who are delivering work that will benefit from the information.
