Phase 1 community consultation

From 17 July to 18 August 2025, we invited the community to share their thoughts on how inclusive and accessible they find City of Moreton Bay. Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the survey or contribute to the ideas wall. Your input is greatly appreciated.

We also worked with an external consultant called Beacon Strategies in this Phase of the consultation. Beacon Strategies recruited participants via disability service providers operating within City of Moreton Bay and through Disability Peak Body organisations for interviews and focus groups. These activities occurred in July 2025 and included:

  • eight individual interviews conducted online and in-person (each up to one hour duration)
  • two focus groups with people with disability, carers and family members
  • two focus groups with service providers and peak body representatives.

We are currently reviewing all feedback we received, and it will help to inform the development of a new Disability Access and Inclusion Plan.
